One of the ways to easily keep track of and edit a collection of things - whether they’re certain types of lines, a category of circle, or even fonts on your axis - is to assign it a specific color that isn’t shared with anything else. By using the tip below, you’ll always be able to grab all of an object’s matching friends!

Using the Select Same tool

It’s easy to select everything that has the same fill or stroke color (and other attributes, too).

  1. Select one of the objects that has the appropriate fill color, stroke color, or other attribute.
  2. From the top menu, select Select, Same and then Fill Color.
  3. All of your objects should be selected! Go ahead and edit them all at once.

You can also try picking Appearance or Fill and Stroke if you accidentally pick up some extra matching elements.
