Making a line dashed or dotted

Changing the stroke style of a line to dashed or dotted

1. Make sure the swatch window is open by selecting Window > Stroke.
2. In the Stroke window, click the upper top-right corner to open up a menu. Select Show Options.
3. Select the line(s) you’d like to make dashed or dotted.
4. Check the box marked “Dashed line,” and fill in a “dash” and a “gap” value - maybe try 1 dash and 3 gap to start off with.

Note: In this example I have grouped all of the grid lines together previously, which is why I’m able to just click one to select them all. You can also do a Select > Same if you exported then at a unique line weight or color.
